Customised injection molding services

From plastic prototyping to production molding, YuanCheng Mold's custom injection molding services create competitively priced, high-quality molded parts for you.
overmolding

Overmolding

Overmoulding is a multi-step injection molding process. In this process, two or more parts are moulded on top of each other to form a single part. Overmoulding is sometimes referred to as 2K injection molding.

Thin wall molding

Thin-wall injection moulding is a specialised form of injection molding that focuses on the mass production of thin and light plastic parts. It allows for faster cycle times compared to plastic parts with thicker walls.

IML injection molding

In-Mould Labelling (IML) is an injection moulding process. It involves inserting pre-printed labels into the cavity of an injection mould by automated means and then injecting the plastic onto the label.

Our injection molding capabilities

YuanCheng Mold is a professional injection mould manufacturer with an efficient technical team. We provide free expert consultation for every injection moulding order, including advice on mould design, material and finish selection for end-use applications, and shipping methods.
Mould design capabilities

Mould design capabilities

Mould design is very important in the moulding of injection moulds. In order for the mould to meet the customer’s requirements, our engineers will create a DFM report and perform a Moldflow analysis. This is a good way to avoid any potential problems before designing the mould.
YuanCheng Mold’s mold designers have been working in the injection molding field for over 10 years and have extensive experience in mold design.

Customised services

We know that every project is different. If your injection molding project requires additional services, including assembly, special packaging, secondary processing, or pad printing, we can meet your needs.
Quality assurance

Quality assurance

YuanCheng Mold provides you with high-quality injection molding services. We ensure that every aspect of your project is carried out under our strict quality control processes and procedures.

Injection Molding Materials

We offer most plastic injection molding materials. Depending on the characteristics of your product, choose the plastic that best suits your application.

Plastic injection molding processes

Plastic injection molding is the process of filling a mould with liquid plastic resin under great pressure. The tool can consist of a single cavity or hundreds of cavities to make an unlimited number of parts. Once a mould tool has been carefully designed and manufactured, the plastic injection molding process consists of the following basic steps.
  1. The plastic resin comes in the form of raw pellets. These are dried to the correct moisture content and then, if required, they can be mixed with pigments or masterbatch colourants to create the correct colour for the design.
  2. The dried pellets are poured into the hopper of the forming machine. A reciprocating screw in the barrel of the machine is used to convey these pellets to the mould while heating them.
  3. In the barrel, the granules are mixed and heated until they are completely melted, forming a liquid resin.
  4. The heated mould is automatically closed and the resin is injected under great pressure through the gate into the cavity.
  5. The mould is cooled for a short period of time to allow the internal parts to solidify.
  6. The mould is opened and the part is ejected to start a new cycle.

Advantages of plastic injection molding

Plastic injection molding is a plastic manufacturing process that allows for the mass production of high-quality parts. It is commonly used for small to large-volume production.

  • Low-cost, high-volume production
  • Excellent part appearance and surface finish
  • Reproducible
  • Complex parts
  • Low scrap rate
  • Wide range of thermoplastic and thermoset materials are available
